The NBA trade deadline is one of the most entertaining commodities in all of sports; it’s an attraction that draws even the most casual fans.

This year will be no different with no shortage of news, rumors and reports out there already. We’re going to break down all the significant rumblings that are out there to give you guys an insight into what’s been happening already.

Bulls poised to move Mirotic

The Bulls are reportedly interested in trading Nikola Mirotic once his Jan. 15 deadline passes, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Mirotic cannot be traded prior to Jan. 15 without his approval.

Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic

Reports have come out saying that the Bulls and Jazz are in serious talks on a deal that could send Mirotic to Utah, and he’s intrigued with that possibility. Nothing is imminent at this stage.

The Pistons are another team that has expressed interest in Mirotic.

The Bulls are seeking a first-round pick in exchange for the veteran forward.

Pistons are active early on

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Pistons are one of the most active teams on the trade market at this stage.

Detroit is looking for wing players to add, as well as shopping for a point guard with Reggie Jackson sidelined due to injury. The team is said to be “looking around” at trade options but nothing is imminent as of now.

As mentioned earlier, the Pistons are among teams interested in acquiring Nikola Mirotic. They’ve also pursued a deal for Magic guard Evan Fournier.

Bucks seeking a center

The Bucks are reportedly in the market for a center and they’ve already been linked to multiple big men around the league.

DeAndre Jordan is one of those names and he’s said to be at the top of their priority list.

Suns’ center Tyson Chandler is another name that’s been mentioned, as well as Andrew Bogut who was recently waived by the Lakers.

The Bucks are dangling John Henson in an effort to bring in more talent in the frontcourt, and they’re also reportedly willing to include Jabari Parker in the right deal.

Lakers open for business

The Lakers are active on the trade market and are open to making a few moves, according to reports.

Los Angeles Lakers v Phoenix Suns

Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson

Los Angeles has made it clear that they’re open to dealing Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and Larry Nance Jr. There’s mutual interest in finding Clarkson a new home prior to the deadline according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The team would prefer to hold onto Nance Jr. but the team needs to shed money for the upcoming offseason and he seems to be the odd man out in L.A.

After an emphasized effort to move Luol Deng, the team has come to the realization that his contract is unwanted, and the Lakers would prefer to hold onto their assets in a trade.

OKC committed to Paul George

The Thunder are committed to Paul George and would like to keep him on long-term.

The team is hoping a deep playoff run will convince George to stay, and resist the temptation to sign with his hometown team, the Lakers, in the offseason.

Jazz looking to make a deal

The Jazz are “angling” to make a deal prior to the Feb. 8 deadline.

Utah is in serious talks with the Bulls on a deal centered around Nikola Mirotic, but nothing is imminent at this stage.

Alec Burks is a potential target for teams at the deadline so he’s a name worth keeping an eye on.

Veterans Derrick Favors and Joe Johnson could be had if the return nets younger players, according to Basketball Insiders.
